When I my home alarm system last year after a couple of the houses had gotten broken into, they provided us with some home security resources . The resources were tips and ideas for security that I had never really thought about. One such idea was to install motion lights. I never installed motion lights because I thought that animals would set them off. The lights have gotten so sophisticated now that they discern between a cat and a burglar. Another idea was to put your hide a key somewhere where it would be least expected. Of course I had our hide a key in the places listed as “no-nos”. We kept our hide a key over the door frame. I actually ordered what looks exactly like yard art, and is yard art, but has a secret hidea key trick door. Lastly, they suggested that you let your prickly bushes outside of the lower level windows grow a little taller. I can’t believe that I never thought about that! Now, I do not even try to keep the holly bushes nice and trim.
